Early years in lockdown 11 May to 15 May
As the sector heads towards the lifting of lockdown next month, data submitted through Ceeda's Covid-19 portal suggests average child attendance is creeping up, in the 37% of day nurseries and pre-schools currently open for vulnerable children and children of key workers. Average daily attendance was 7.73 key worker children in the week commencing 8th May, compared to 6.93 a week before.
Figures in childminder provision remain similar, with 52% of settings open for key worker and vulnerable children and an average daily attendance of 1.27 key worker children.
